You're right, it was very cool observing their reactions and having conversations with them about the prototypes. In most cases, I had been living and breathing the features we were showing them for months, and had some very definite ideas about how "I thought" they'd respond. The participants I came to appreciate the most were the ones who responded unexpectedly or showed us something we had overlooked.
