I watched my eldest daughter go through four years of band in high school, and for all the great moments, and to be fair there were a lot of those, there were bad ones as well. She wasn't personally affected by a lot of it, but one of her friends dropped color guard because of how poorly they were treated. All these years later, I dunno why I felt I needed to write about it, but that's where Garrett comes from.
LOL Yeah, Mac was a handful, but was awesome to have as my first guide. He set the bar for future guides very high, so much so that I had to lower my expectations a bit with subsequent dogs.
