it amuses me that you're the only person who has asked about the veracity of Ellie’s sink ploy. In my mind, I sort’ve imagine her tossing an earring down the sink that she doesn’t care about possibly losing. And clearly, given Mark’s experience, she must be pretty careless about sink matters most of the time. LOL
