I enjoyed this and The cassette tape trick is one I've done in my teenage years! I've also repaired many with tape that get eaten by my player!!
I also used to have fun as a child on my tape player (in the 1970's) one fun thing was to record messages when the batteries were running down so that when you eventually played them at normal speed with new batteries you got speeded up voices. and another thing was if you plugged your earphones into the mic socket and used them as a mic the recording sounded just like a recorded telephone call!
